Reminders for requester:

• Need to have at least 10 students in attendance
• Need to post flyers on your floor, hall, etc. for the event at least one week in advance
• Send out Emails to residents
• Provide incentives for the audience (small prize or food)
• Meet the presenter at least 5-10 minutes beforehand in the commons area or outside the front door (especially if they don’t have access)

Birth Control

This workshop provides information on all of the current available methods of contraception, including those available at McKinley. Females and males are welcome to attend.

Breast or Testicular Cancer Workshop

Breast cancer information and instructions on how to perform breast or testicular self-exams are provided in this workshop.

Hooking Up: Dating, Relationships and Sexual Behavior in College

What are the characteristics of a healthy relationship? What qualities are we looking for in a potential partner? Hooking Up explores the issues of romance, intimacy, and dating among college students, and offers tips for better communication in our relationships. Differences between healthy and unhealthy relationships are also explored, including resources on campus that address relationship violence.

Sexually Transmissible Diseases (STDs)

You may be able to list them, but can you identify the symptoms, treatment and testing options? This workshop will fill in all the details, including which STDs are bacterial and which are viral. Information about testing & treatment options available at McKinley is provided. Fun & interactive!

Wasted Sex

This workshop explores the “Drunk Hook-Up” and challenges students to explore the complex issues of sex under the influence.

What's Hot? What's Not?

Our most requested program! In this safer sex workshop, facilitators engage the audience to consider ways to eroticize safer sex. Different sexual behaviors, techniques and sex toys are discussed in this program – with an emphasis on “safe sex is FUN sex!”
