Self Assessment Workshop (SAW)What is it?The Self Assessment Workshop is a two-part workshop designed to assist students in making a comprehensive exploration and assessment of their drinking and drug use. The workshop focuses on making mature decisions about drinking or drug use that minimize potential problems. What do I need to do?The first thing you need to do is register for the workshop. In order to do this, call the Alcohol and Other Drug Office at 333-7557 anytime between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. During this call, you need to specify which class you want to attend. Each class is two sessions, approximately two hours per session. Therefore, your commitment is approximately four hours total. Maximum class size is eight persons. If the class if full, you will be asked to select an alternative date. After this, all you need to do is attend class. What then?Participants will need to bring the name and address of referral. Registrations forms and releases will be filled out at the first session. The Office that referred you will be informed of your compliance or non-compliance in terms of class attendance. All SAW classes are held in the Turner Student Services Building, Room 212, located at 610 East John Street, Champaign, Illinois. Meet in the 2nd floor lobby.
